Objective

To delete a project in Resource Planning

Background

You can delete or inactivate projects in Resource Planning if they are no longer needed. Projects that are deleted in Resource Planning will be marked as inactive in Procore. In general, Procore recommends inactivating projects instead of deleting them, so that you can retain any data associated with the project.

 Note

Projects can be created in either Procore or Resource Planning, but your company must choose one as your system of record. Your Punkt kontaktowy Procore guides your company through this decision based on your setup. 

This article is for customers who have Resource Planning as their system of record for project creation and management.

Things to Consider

 Important
Deleting a project permanently removes all the history and data associated with that project from Resource Planning.

Steps

Inactivate a Project in Resource Planning

  1. Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.
  2. Click Projects and select Project List.
  3. Click the project name.
  4. Locate the 'Info' section and click Edit.
  5. Locate 'Status' and select Inactive.
  6. Click Save.

Delete Projects in Resource Planning

  1. Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.
  2. Click Projects and select Project List.
  3. Mark the checkboxes for the projects you want to delete.
  4. Click the delete icon-delete-trash6.png icon.
  5. Click Delete to confirm.
    Note: The project is deleted from Resource Planning and marked as 'Inactive' in Procore.
